Dominik Gautier, Dr. phil., teaches at the Institute for Protestant Theology and Religious Education at the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg. He studied at the University of Oldenburg (2007-2012) and at Union Theological Seminary in New York (2011). In his research, he focuses on Reformed theologies of the natural world and on dialogues between theology and critical race theory. His dissertation on race in Reinhold Niebuhr’s theological ethics was published with Theologischer Verlag Zürich (TVZ) in 2022. In Fall 2023, he is a visiting professor of Christian ethics at Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology, Atlanta, Georgia.
